Hi! 👋🏽

My name is Dilpreet Kainth and I’m a multifaceted social media strategist and content creator, partnering with brands to build their digital presence and community engagement. I started freelancing in January 2022 and have since partnered with Thirty Madison, The Meteor, Apartment Therapy, Pop-Up Magazine, Stamford Health, and more. I’m also a freelance writer with work published in Kitchn, The Verge, Brown Girl Bookshelf, and Girls & Their Cats. Check out my projects page for more info about each project.

For nine years, I worked at some of the nation’s top media companies. I started my career in network TV, working at NBC TODAY and A+E Networks. As the industry started to shift its focus to digital media, I became a leading social expert at Vox Media and Refinery29, managing campaigns from ideation to execution. At The Verge, I oversaw video campaigns across multiple social channels and received a NY Emmy award for my work on the Verge Science YouTube. At Refinery29, I specialized in social strategy for branded content programs, working with a variety of clients.

Before I started freelancing full-time, I was the social lead at the Wildlife Conservation Society where I managed 15 social accounts for the organization’s five NYC-based parks. Here, I developed community-driven campaigns to drive engagement and share global conservation efforts.

In my down time, I also volunteer with local animal rescues as a social strategist, TNR rescuer, and foster home. I’m currently based in Queens with my rescue cats.
